It’s that time of month again. My Ipsy bag came today! Gotta say though, I’m a tad disappointed this month, but I’ll get into that in a bit.

This month’s full size product was a Mica Beauty Cosmetics gel eyeliner. I’ve tried gel eyeliner once before and I’m just not good at it so I’ve always just stuck with liquid. However, I did give this liner a go as you will see in a follow photo. The most exciting part about this product being full is that it pays for this month’s bag times three! This gel eyeliner retails for $30!

Next is the product I’m most excited about. The Pixi Flawless & Poreless primer. I’m actually almost out of my primer so I’m glad I got this in my bag. Full size of this primer retails for $29 and you get half the size of full size so this sample is worth $14.50.

The last three items are a Pop Beauty mascara (sample worth $9.25), a small Coastal Scents quad (worth $2.98) and four lash cards (worth $2.80).

This month’s bag is worth a total of $59.53!

Before writing this post I put all of the products on my face to give them all a try! And here’s the result:

The Coastal Scents shadows are pretty good quality. The camera didn’t pick up how bright the inner half of my lid is. The gold color in my quad is kind of intense. Not for everyday use.  As you can see my gel eyeliner application skills are not top of the line. But the liner did glide on really well and was easy to work with. The mascara isn’t really anything to write home about. If you like natural looking lashes, then you’ll probably like this mascara.

The primer felt nice on my skin. Didn’t seem like anything too special. Just your typical primer. I definitely would not pay $29 for a full size. And lastly, the lash cards. I had a very difficult time putting on my mascara while holding the card over my eye. Even when I had it pressed right against my eyelid it still made it hard for the mascara wand to fully coat my lashes. I ended up giving up and just applying the mascara without using the card.

Overall I’m only really liking the liner and the primer. Luckily those are the two most expensive items.

What are your thoughts on this month’s Ipsy bag?

xoxo
